Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Radiology Technologist for the Lutheran General Hospital Radiology department. The position is full-time with rotating weekends, on-call, and holiday coverage, performing radiographic examinations and assisting radiologists in fluoroscopy.

Requirements include an accredited Radiology Technology credential, ARRT certification or eligibility, and CPR certification. Strong communication, patient handling, and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• Certificate or Assoc. Degree in Radiology Technology.
• ARRT Registered or registry eligible.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as directed by physician.
• Manoeuvres portable radiographic equipment in patient care areas and in surgery as required.
• Operates all components of radiographic, fluoroscopic equipment and c-arms.
• Assists radiologists in performing fluoroscopic examinations.
• Performs radiographic procedures on Level I Trauma patients to expedite care.
• Maintains radiation safety and image quality standards.
