Job summary

Captivation is seeking a mid-level software engineer to design and implement DSP algorithms in high-throughput signal processing projects for government clients. You will work with C++, Python, and Linux in a fast-paced team focused on delivering reliable, secure software that meets strict government requirements.

Candidates must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and have related DSP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or CS is required.
• Senior DSP algorithm experience with software development.
• Experience with C++, Linux, Python, and DSP projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement DSP algorithms in software for high-throughput signals.
• Modify firmware/software to meet government needs for COTS/GOTS products.
• Explain developed models to teammates for reuse and collaboration.

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who will be assisting with daily responsibilities.

Requirements

Security Clearance

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications

• Four (4) years experience as a DSP Algorithm developer on projects with similar software processes
• Four (4) years experience with C++, Linux, Python, or similar development language.
• May substitute two (2) years of experience with Masters of Science in Engineering or Computer Science
• May substitute four (4) years of additional DSP experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline in DSP algorithms from an accredited college or university is required

Required Skills

• C++/Linux/Python/DSP Algorithms
• Design and implement DSP algorithms in software, with a focus on high-throughput exploitation of signals, low signal to noise ratio, higher-order, and/or adaptive modulations
• Conduct necessary modifications to existing software and/or firmware to adapt COTS and GOTS products to meet special Government needs
• Provide concise explanation of developed models to allow other team members to understand/utilize models or algorithms for processing signals of interest
