Job summary

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level Radio Frequency Software Engineer 1 to help design and optimize DSP-powered systems using C++, Linux, and Python. Based in Annapolis Junction, MD, you will work on mission-critical software for defense clients, delivering high-throughput signal processing and robust algorithms.

The role requires TS/SCI with favorable polygraph and a BS in Engineering or CS with DSP focus, plus four years of DSP and software development experience.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years DSP algorithm development experience.
• Four (4) years experience with C++, Linux, Python.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline in DSP algorithms is required.
• U.S. citizen with Top Secret/SCI clearance and favorable Polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement DSP algorithms in software for high-throughput signal processing.
• Modify existing software/firmware to meet government needs and adapt COTS/GOTS products.
• Explain developed models and algorithms clearly to teammates for processing signals of interest.

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who will be assisting with daily responsibilities.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

• Four (4) years experience as a DSP Algorithm developer on projects with similar software processes
• Four (4) years experience with C++, Linux, Python, or similar development language.
• May substitute two (2) years of experience with Masters of Science in Engineering or Computer Science
• May substitute four (4) years of additional DSP experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline in DSP algorithms from an accredited college or university is required

Required Skills:

• C++/Linux/Python/DSP Algorithms
• Design and implement DSP algorithms in software, with a focus on high-throughput exploitation of signals, low signal to noise ratio, higher-order, and/or adaptive modulations
• Conduct necessary modifications to existing software and/or firmware to adapt COTS and GOTS products to meet special Government needs
• Provide concise explanation of developed models to allow other team members to understand/utilize models or algorithms for processing signals of interest

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
• Up to 20% 401k contribution (No Matching Required and Vested from Day 1)
