Job summary

City of Cleveland is seeking a Systems Analyst to support users by training, creating user documentation, building and running reports, conducting usability testing, and troubleshooting issues. The role also focuses on learning technologies to maintain systems.

The position involves troubleshooting analog and digital communications, supporting a wide radio network, and maintaining related network infrastructure and equipment with on-call duties for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred; two years of related education/experience may substitute for college.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot analog and digital communications systems; adapt to a large radio network across multiple sites.
• Support network infrastructure: Switches, RF equipment, LAN, Telephony, Ethernet, Microwave, Fiber.
• Install and maintain Radio System equipment, hardware and software.
• Escort contractors on site for maintenance of City or Lessee equipment.
• Be on call for emergency work; may require evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Inspect transmitter sites for HVAC, tower lighting, generators, UPS, security.
• Field service duties for ORC, dispatch centers and customer locations.
• Develop, install, expand and maintain Communications Systems; prepare new vehicle installations.
• Take on duties of team members during absence and support learning.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment; report needs for attention.
• Knowledge of electrical repair and installations; 2+ years two-way radio experience preferred.
