Atrium Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver and record targeted radiation treatments under physician direction. You will review imaging, set up patients, and perform QA to ensure equipment accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include treatment parameter entry in EMR, CT simulation, immobilization, MU calculations, and age-appropriate patient care. No prior experience required; BLS and ARRT RT registration within timelines are expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school that includes the completion of an accredited radiation therapy program.
• No experience required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months and ARRT RT registration within 1 year.

Responsabilités

• Delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the Radiation Oncologist guidance.
• Reviews images and port films for patient setup and verification with the medical team.
• Performs daily QA on equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Maintains patient treatment parameters in EMR.
• Manages appointment schedules and charge capture for treatments.
• Performs CT simulation, blocks, immobilization, and MU calculations in absence of dosimetrist/physicist.
• Handles patient positioning and transport with proper body mechanics.
• Adapts care to age-specific needs and follows department policies.
