Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiation Therapy professional to deliver treatments at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center - Oncology. The role involves close collaboration with physicians to verify patient setup, perform CT simulation, and ensure accurate treatment records in the EMR.

The ideal candidate has an accredited Radiation Therapy program and BLS; ARRT RT registration within a year is expected. This full-time position includes standard benefits and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved Radiation Therapy program beyond high school.
• Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire; ARRT Radiation Therapy registration within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist.
• Reviews images and port films for patient setup and verification with the medical team.
• Performs daily QA on equipment prior to treatment.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues and reports irregularities.
• Enters and maintains patient treatment parameters in the EMR.
• Maintains patient appointment schedules and ensures proper charge capture for treatments.
• Performs CT simulation, cuts blocks, creates immobilization, and computes monitor units when needed.
• Assists with patient transfers and positioning, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Age-specific care considerations to meet patient needs across the lifespan.
