Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist Level 1 to deliver prescribed radiation treatments to patients in accordance with physician prescriptions and simulation instructions. You will utilize ARIA and the CT simulator, ensure proper patient setup, and perform daily charting and QA with attention to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an approved Radiation Therapy Program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed ionizing radiation per Radiation Oncologist plan.
• Operate ARIA EMR and CT Simulator.
• Position patients using immobilization devices and verify treatment setup.
• Obtain and evaluate images, perform QA and daily treatments.
• Document charting in CT Sim and daily treatment in Aria, with two-therapist checks.
• Maintain clean, stocked treatment room and CT Sim work area.
• Educate patients on care before, during and after treatment.
• Assist in teaching and mentoring RTT staff.
