Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.
• ARRT registration or board eligibility within six months of hire.
• BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• One to two years of relevant clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers radiation treatments to patients per Radiation Oncologist's orders, with minimal supervision, to provide quality patient care.
• Documents set-up instructions and treatment parameters; records each day's treatments in ARIA.
• Participates in Quality Assessment and Improvement Program and adheres to departmental policies and procedures.
• Performs treatment-related activities including patient transport, scheduling, record keeping, charge capture, chart checks, portal verification, and equipment warm-up/QA checks.
• Performs CT simulations and treatment planning functions; constructs shielding and treatment devices as needed.
• Assists physician and physicist with ACCUBOOST brachytherapy delivery.
• Maintains inventory and keeps work area stocked with supplies; observes safety practices and proper disposal of hazardous materials.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to Lead Radiation Therapist or Physicist.
• Provides clinical instruction to Radiology and Radiation Therapy students.
