Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to deliver precise radiation treatments to patients at Mary Washington Hospital Radiation Oncology and Stafford Hospital Radiation Oncology, following the Radiation Oncologist's prescriptions and instructions.

You will perform CT simulations, assist with treatment planning, document treatments in ARIA, participate in quality improvement, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance while supporting a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.
• Registered with the ARRT or equivalent certifying organization or board eligible (must be registered with ARRT or equivalent certifying organization within six (6) months of hire date).
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire
• One to two year's relevant clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers radiation treatments to patients per Radiation Oncologist's orders, with minimal supervision, to provide quality patient care.
• Provides thorough and accurate documentation of set-up instructions and treatment parameters and records each day's treatments in ARIA.
• Performs CT simulations of patients and treatment planning functions.
• Maintains neat and clean work space while observing proper safety precautions and disposing of infectious or hazardous materials in a way that ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
