Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare's Stafford Hospital is hiring a Radiation Therapist for full‑time days. You will deliver precise radiation treatments to SHRO and MWHRO patients per the Radiation Oncologist's prescription and support simulation and treatment planning.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program, ARRT certification or eligibility within six months, and AHA BLS CPR at hire; one to two years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.
• Registered with ARRT or equivalent certifying organization, or board eligible (must be registered within six months of hire date).
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers radiation treatments to patients per Radiation Oncologist’s orders with minimal supervision.
• Documents set-up instructions and treatment parameters and records each day’s treatments in ARIA.
• Performs CT simulations and treatment planning functions.
• Assists physician and physicist with ACCUBOOST brachytherapy delivery.
• Maintains inventory and ensures area is stocked with supplies.
• Adheres to radiation safety practices and OSHA regulations.
