Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• ARRT Board certification preferred.
• Graduation from accredited school of radiation therapy technology.
• Certification in Radiation Therapy Technology by ARRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the physician.
• Verify prescribed treatment dose before each treatment and verify fields and angles.
• Ensure shielding of healthy tissue with protective devices.
• Simulate patients using CT/scanner to localize treatment areas.
• Maintain accurate, detailed treatment charts and patient progress notes.
• Be on call and adhere to safety procedures.

Education

Bachelor's degree in related field

ARRT Board certified

Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy technology

Certification in Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
