Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. at Mojave Radiation Oncology Center in Apple Valley, CA seeks a Radiation Therapist (PRN) to administer prescribed radiation, verify doses and angles, and ensure safety and charting compliance.

You will work with the Radiation Oncologist and therapy team to localize treatment areas using CT and other devices. The role requires ARRT eligibility or certification, a science degree, and a graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.

Qualifications

• ARRT board eligibility or certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy technology and ARRT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the physician.
• Verify prescribed treatment dose, fields, and angles before each treatment.
• Place protective devices to shield healthy tissue.
• Simulate patients using CT or other devices to localize areas.
• Maintain detailed treatment chart documentation.
• Monitor patient progress and report any issues to the team.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and perform machine safety checks.
• Collaborate with the Radiation Oncologist and therapy team on treatment planning.
• Attend on-call shifts and ensure timely completion of deadlines.
