Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA, is hiring a Radiation Therapist (trainee or intern considered) to deliver radiation therapy per physician prescription, perform simulation, immobilization, and block fabrication, and coordinate patient care throughout treatment.

36 hours per week on day shift. Requires Iowa State Permit To Practice with 24 CEUs in 2 years, current Iowa radiation therapy permit, BLS and Mandatory Reporter. Relocation available.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiation Therapist or registry eligibility required.
• Must obtain and maintain a State of Iowa Permit To Practice requiring 24 CEUs in a 2-year period.
• Current Iowa permit to practice in Radiation Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatment to patients per physician prescription.
• Complete treatment preparation including simulation, immobilization, and block fabrication.
• Coordinate care of patients receiving radiation therapy treatments.
• Assure proper function of treatment equipment.
• Provide age-appropriate care based on patient needs.
