MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA, is hiring a Radiation Therapist to deliver treatment per physician prescription. The role includes simulation, immobilization, and coordinating care for patients undergoing radiation therapy, with a day shift and 36 hours per week.

We welcome candidates who hold current Iowa permit to practice in Radiation Therapy, with BLS and a commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiation Therapist or registry eligible required.
• Must obtain and maintain Iowa Permit To Practice with 24 CEUs in a 2-year period.
• Current Iowa permit to practice in Radiation Therapy.
• Previous experience preferred.
• BLS
• Mandatory Reporter

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatment to patients in accordance with physician’s prescription.
• Complete treatment preparation including simulation, immobilization, and block fabrication.
• Coordinate care of patients receiving radiation therapy treatments.
• Assure proper function of treatment equipment.
• Based on principles of growth and development, provide care appropriate to the age related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned area
