Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Clinton, IA is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our care team. You will assist the Radiation Oncologist, prepare patients for therapy, and deliver treatments with meticulous documentation of dosages.

The role requires ARRT (T), a state Permit to Practice, and BLS within 3 months of hire, with no weekend shifts and a 36-hour work week. MercyOne offers a full benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Iowa Permit to Practice (IDPH).
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Knowledge of patient care, oxygen equipment, radiation therapy equipment, record/verify system, and Linear Accelerator unit.

Responsibilities

• Assist Radiation Oncologist in preparing patients for therapy.
• Deliver radiation therapy treatments under supervision.
• Document dosages in daily logs.
• Support block preparation and simulation activities as needed.

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Radiation Therapist.

As a Radiation Therapist at MercyOne, you will assist the Radiation Oncologist in preparing the patient for radiation therapy treatments. Under the supervision/direction of the radiation physicist and oncologist, give radiation therapy treatments. Document in daily logs the correct dosages utilized. Ages of patients served range in age from adult to geriatric.

Schedule:

• 36 hours a week

• Monday - Friday

• 7:00a - 3:30p

• No weekends

• No Holidays

General Requirements:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (T)

• Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice

• BLS certified within 3 months of hire

• Know basic patient care skills, operation of oxygen equipment, radiation therapy treatment equipment, record and verify system, Linear Accelerator Unit, simulation and block preparation skills
