Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver prescribed radiation treatments and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.

The RTT will work with the treatment team, verify patient identity, position patients, and monitor for reactions while maintaining safety and high-quality care. The role requires related education, ARRT certification, CPR/BLS, and 1 year of RTT experience, with recent grads eligible to sit for registry.

Qualifications

• Minimum – Graduate from an accredited School of Radiation Therapy Technology.
• BS degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year active RTT experience.
• Recent graduates eligible to sit for the registry.
• Must pass RTT Registry exam within 6 months if recent graduate.
• Registered RTT with ARRT certification required.
• Dual ARRT/CT Technologist certification preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiation therapy services as an essential member of the radiation oncology team.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and other team members.
• Respond to emergencies, provide first aid and CPR.
• Document accurately treatment set-ups, doses and calculations.
• Explain procedures and communicate during treatment and in emergencies.
• Reinforce skin care, mouth care, diets and general welfare for patients.
• Assist in simulations and document data in the EMR.
• Identify and report deviations in treatment delivery promptly.
