Job summary

SunState Medical Specialists in Florida is seeking a Radiation Therapist to coordinate, plan and administer high-quality radiotherapy for oncology patients of all ages, using advanced techniques such as 3D Conformal, IMRT, SRS/SBRT, IGRT, and brachytherapy while upholding ALARA safety standards.

Expect to prepare equipment, position patients, document in the EMR, and collaborate with physics and dosimetry. Regular chart rounds and ongoing training are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School for Radiation Therapy.
• ARRT Registered Technologist (T) and state licensure.
• CPR certified and in good standing with CE requirements.
• Strong communication and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare immobilization, treatment, or protection devices.
• Position patients for simulation and treatment with accuracy.
• Administer prescribed doses of radiation per prescription.
• Document simulations and treatments in the EMR.
• Ensure QA and safety procedures per ALARA guidelines.
