Job summary

SunState Medical Specialists seeks a Radiation Therapist to prepare equipment, position patients for treatment, and deliver prescribed radiation doses with precision. The role requires accurate documentation in the EMR and strict adherence to quality assurance and ALARA principles.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient responses, coordinating with physics/dosimetry, and assisting with staff training. This on-site Florida position offers opportunities to work with advanced therapy

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School for Radiation Therapy.
• ARRT Registered Technologist (T) and state license where required.
• CPR certified and in good standing with CE and license requirements.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Computer literate with EMR, treatment delivery apps, and Office software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment and immobilization devices for treatment.
• Position patients for simulation and treatment with accuracy as prescribed.
• Administer prescribed radiation doses using therapy equipment per standards.
• Document simulations, treatments, and patient care in the EMR.
• Assist with documentation and QA procedures.
• Check and report issues with therapy and simulation equipment.
• Follow ALARA principles for patient and staff safety.
• Coordinate patient scheduling to optimize resources.
