Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Virginia is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver precise external beam radiation therapies at MWHRO and SHRO, following physicians' prescriptions to ensure patient safety and treatment accuracy.

You will perform CT simulations, assist in treatment planning, document parameters in ARIA, and participate in QA and safety programs while teaching radiology students.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.
• ARRT certification or board eligibility within six months of hire.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• One to two years of relevant clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers radiation treatments per orders with minimal supervision.
• Documents setup, treatment parameters, and records daily in ARIA.
• Participates in QA/QI programs and follows department policies.
• Performs CT simulations and assists with treatment planning.
• Assists with ACCUBOOST brachytherapy delivery.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and a clean work area.
• Provides clinical instruction to radiology students.
• Works with OSHA safety and infection control requirements.
