Qualifications

• High school diploma and ARRT approved Radiological Technology Program.
• ARRT certification and Maryland licensure to practice radiation therapy.
• At least one year of experience in a radiation oncology facility.
• Experience with linear accelerators, CT simulators and HDR therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply ionizing radiation to patients per physician prescription and adjust as needed.
• Review and maintain daily treatment records for accuracy.
• Assess patient condition from medical docs and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients with sensitivity and care.
• Participate in simulation and mold room procedures.
• Resolve issues with routine set-ups and equipment.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate care.
• Understand dosimetry and perform basic treatment time calculations.
• Prepare room and equipment per prescriptions and immobilization devices.
