Qualifications

• ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program completed (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Maryland state licensure to practice radiation therapy.

Responsibilities

• Apply ionizing radiation to patients according to physician prescription and note changes.
• Review and maintain daily treatment records for accuracy.
• Assess patient condition from medical documentation and monitor for unusual reactions.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients with sensitivity and care.
• Participate in simulation and mold room procedures.
• Resolve problems with routine setup.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Understand dosimetry procedures and perform basic treatment time calculations.
• Prepare room and equipment per prescriptions and immobilization devices.
