Novant Health seeks a Radiation Therapist I in North Carolina to perform CT and treatment procedures with a high level of proficiency, and to serve as a Super User for department technology and workflows.
You will precept and train new staff, participate in HDR QA or specialized treatment protocols, demonstrate expertise in VisionRT and IV contrast simulation, and contribute annual presentations to radiation leadership on patient safety, cost savings, and efficiency.
Applies ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. In addition to the duties of the Radiation Therapist I: Serves as a Super User for technology, Preceptor for new employees, providing training and mentorship, performs both CT and treatment procedures with a high level of proficiency, Involved in HDR QA or specialized treatment protocols, Demonstrates expertise in VisionRT, Simulation/IV Contrast, and new treatment devices or protocols, engages in at least 1 presentation/proposal to radiation leadership/physicians annually on cost savings, patient safety, or efficiency, ensuring that their ideas are heard and implemented, leads by example, promoting employee satisfaction through active involvement in process improvements.
