Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Radiation & Survivability Engineering Fellow to lead strategy for space radiation effects, nuclear hardness, and system hardening across the Space Systems sector. This senior role interfaces with customers, government agencies, and labs to shape standards and investment priorities.

The Fellow will drive technical leadership, manage cross-functional teams, and oversee testing methodologies while ensuring mission success in diverse environments and programs nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a STEM discipline with extensive engineering experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in radiation effects, nuclear hardness and survivability, and testing.
• U.S. citizen with active SCI access or Top Secret clearance, eligible for SAPs/PARs.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive sector-wide strategy for radiation survivability engineering.
• Interface with customers, government agencies, and partners to influence standards.
• Lead root-cause investigations and develop mitigation strategies for critical systems.
• Define enterprise technical standards and guide advanced test methodologies.
• Balance technical rigor with practicality across mission classes and schedules.
