Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Radiation & Survivability Engineering NG Fellow 1 to lead enterprise strategy, technical standards, and cross‑site collaboration across the Space Systems sector. This senior role requires deep expertise and the ability to interface with customers, government agencies, and national laboratories.

The Fellow will shape roadmaps, drive advanced testing methodologies, and mentor engineers while navigating SCI/TS clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 20+ years of engineering experience.
• Master’s Degree in STEM with 18+ years.
• PhD in STEM with 15+ years.
• Demonstrated expertise in TID, SEE, DD, prompt dose, SGEMP, neutron effects.
• US citizenship with SCI or TS clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the enterprise authority in radiation effects and system hardening.
• Establish technical standards and acceptance criteria for Radiation Hardness Assurance.
• Lead root-cause investigations of radiation-induced failures.
• Balance risk and drive strategic investments in testing and modeling.
• Represent NG in external forums and coordinate with customers and labs.
• Guide selection of advanced test methodologies and multi-physics analysis.
