Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Radiation & Survivability Engineering NG Fellow 1 to shape strategy and lead technical initiatives. The role can be located at major NG locations, onsite, and requires deep expertise in space radiation effects, nuclear hardness, and system hardening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 20+ years of engineering experience.
• Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 18+ years of engineering experience.
• PhD in a STEM discipline with 15+ years of engineering experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in TID, SEE, DD, and related phenomena, including hands-on test execution and data analysis.
• Demonstrated success managing technical performers or teams.
• U.S. Citizen with active SCI access or Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SCI.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise authority in radiation effects and survivability.
• Interface with customers, government agencies, national laboratories, and industry partners.
• Define technical standards for Radiation Hardness Assurance (RHA).
• Guide selection and application of advanced test methodologies (heavy ion, proton, pulsed-laser SEE, etc.).
