Qualifications

• Ability to acquire necessary knowledge for key job responsibilities in a nuclear plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations for test results, reports, performance and records.
• Conduct radiation, contamination and airborne surveys as directed.
• Analyze need for contamination control measures and direct their use.
• Instruct others in health physics precautions and equipment usage.
• Conduct sampling operations and analyses per standardized radiological procedures.
• Perform preprocessing and counting for plant and environmental samples (alpha, beta, gamma).
• Inspect power plant equipment and prepare inspection/maintenance reports.
• Operate and maintain radiological analysis equipment and record data.
