Responsibilities

• Maintains the daily operations of the Radiation Safety Office, including records, radiation user database, and equipment oversight.
• Trains, coordinates, and supervises up to 5 student workers per academic year.
• Organizes radiation user applications, administers safety examinations, and manages radiation monitoring programs.
• Coordinates receipt and disposal of radioactive materials and maintains mixed waste management.
• Oversees surveys, audits, and inventory of radiation sources; calibrates survey meters.
• Performs laser hazard analysis and advises on related regulations; maintains various radiation safety programs.
