Job summary

SOFIE is seeking a Radiation Compliance (RC) / Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Specialist to support RC/EH&S programs across multiple facilities, including Houston and other locations. The role emphasizes compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements, training staff, and performing on-site audits to promote safe operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional safety experience preferred.
• Radiation safety or RC/EH&S experience preferred.
• RSO experience and CSP/ASP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support RC and EH&S programs to ensure compliant, safe operations.
• Maintain safety records and incident reports.
• Conduct on-site audits and safety observations across facilities.
• Coordinate emergency drills and readiness checks.
• Assist with waste management and regulatory documentation.
• Develop procedures and training materials for RC and EH&S compliance.
• Train staff on RC and EH&S policies and procedures.
• Travel up to 40% domestically as required.
