Job summary

MemorialCare Medical Group in Lakewood, CA seeks a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Obstetrics/Gynecology and Family Medicine teams. This full-time, outpatient role features a Monday–Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule with no after-hours call.

Candidates should have 1+ year in Women’s Health (3+ years preferred) and obstetrics experience; Epic EMR experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed NP or PA in California.
• Board-certified Women’s Health preferred.
• Experience in Women’s Health or OB/GRN strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations.
• Provide obstetric care including prenatal services for OB patients.
• Implant contraception (IUD, Nexplanon) and related procedures.
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• See outpatient patients in a 8-5 schedule and manage 15–21 patients per day.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation.

Base Salary Range*:$126,000 to $158,000

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join MemorialCare’s growing Ob/Gyn and Family Medicine practice in Lakewood, CA.

Practice Information & Position Details

• Employment opportunity with MemorialCare Medical Group
• 100% Outpatient
• Hours of operation:Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• No after hours call
• Average 15 to 21 patients per day
• EMR: Epic
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
• Implant contraception (e.g., IUD placement, Nexplanon, etc.)
• See new OB patients. Provide prenatal care throughout all stages of pregnancy.
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in Women’s Health or related field as a NP or PA; 3+ years preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in Obstetrics strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR system highly preferred

Education & Licensure

• California Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing licensure or California Physician Assistant license
• Current, active, unrestricted licensure as an NP or PA
• Successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Board certification in Women’s Health (Preferred)
• Current BLS
• NPI and DEA
