Our Oncology Department is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to support our team of dedicated Veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians.
Compensation:
Work alongside leading specialists in veterinary oncology
Hands-on experience with cutting-edge diagnostics and treatments
Opportunity to train in advanced imaging (CT, MRI) and TrueBeam radiation therapy
Make a real impact by providing compassionate care to pets battling cancer
Assist with patient care, including obtaining vitals, collecting samples, and monitoring diagnostics
Support advanced procedures like biopsies, CT scans, and radiation therapy
Help maintain IV catheters and monitor anesthesia during treatments
Ensure patients are comfortable, clean, and properly discharged with medications and post-care instructions
Communicate with clients and team members professionally and empathetically
Maintain hospital efficiency by stocking supplies and supporting inventory management
High school diploma or equivalent required
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs and standing for extended periods
