Join Our Oncology Team as a Veterinary Assistant!

Our Oncology Department is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to support our team of dedicated Veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians.

Compensation:

  • Starting at $20 based off radiation Oncology experience
Schedule:
  • Four 10-hour shifts
  • One 12-hour on-call shift in ER per month after cross training
  • This will be a Monday-Friday department eventually.

What You’ll Do:

Assist with patient care, including obtaining vitals, collecting samples, and monitoring diagnostics
Support advanced procedures like biopsies, CT scans, and radiation therapy
Help maintain IV catheters and monitor anesthesia during treatments
Ensure patients are comfortable, clean, and properly discharged with medications and post-care instructions
Communicate with clients and team members professionally and empathetically
Maintain hospital efficiency by stocking supplies and supporting inventory management

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs and standing for extended periods
