UT Health San Antonio is seeking a Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse - Intermediate to provide direct patient care at the Mays Cancer Center. The role requires independent equipment preparation and assisting physicians during treatments, with supervision by department leadership.

You will work with the clinic team to prepare charts, coordinate referrals, triage calls, arrange admissions, and ensure timely documentation of tests and results.

Competenze

• Associates degree in Nursing is required.
• Three years of professional nursing experience is required.
• Active TX Registered Nurse license required.
• Active BLS/CPR required.
• PALS required within 60 days of employment.
• ACLS required within 60 days of employment.

Mansioni

• Assist the medical provider and mid-level with examinations, testing, result interpretation, and treatment administration.
• Coordinate chart preparation with the medical assistant to ensure readiness for clinic.
• Schedule referrals, follow-up appointments, and diagnostics per orders.
• Call-in prescriptions and refills; obtain prior authorizations as needed.
• Triage patient calls; arrange hospital admissions as needed.
• Follow up on diagnostics and labs and report results to the provider.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
