Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a MCC Clinical Registered Nurse - Associate to provide direct nursing care to patients at the Mays Cancer Center. You will assist physicians during treatments and examinations, participate in care planning, and support the interdisciplinary health team in delivering high-quality cancer care.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing and up to one year of nursing experience, with active TX nursing licensure and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates the ability to function within the required nursing process as defined by the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
• Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally.
• Demonstrates analytical thinking and coordinating work within schedule constraints.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to patients in a clinic setting, supports treatment plans.
• Administers prescribed medications and observes patient responses.
• Develops protocols and procedure manuals.
• Performs daily setup and maintenance of rooms and equipment.
• Documents patient care and assists with staff training.
