Job summary

OhioHealth in Marion, OH seeks a Manager of Radiation Oncology Medical Physics to lead all medical physics operations in the region. The role emphasizes effective leadership, QA program management, and maintaining regulatory accreditation with strong physician relationships.

Required are a Master’s in Medical Physics and ABR certification, plus 5+ years of leadership in radiation oncology. This is a full-time, day-shift position within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in medical physics required.
• ABR certification in Medical Physics required.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in radiation oncology.

Responsibilities

• 50%: Perform as a Board Certified Medical Physicist, supervising treatment planning, dose calcs, QA testing, calibrations and device fabrication for external beam therapy, brachytherapy, and imaging.
• 20%: Oversee QA activities across the region for external beam, brachytherapy and stereotactic programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely completion.
• 10%: Support strategic initiatives, develop and operationalize projects with leadership and clinicians, track metrics for success.
• 10%: Maintain accreditation/regulatory compliance (ACR, ACOS, NAPBC, JCAHO-DCS, etc.) and adherence to federal, state, local regs.
• 10%: Build and maintain physician relationships; collaborate with Medical Director and Radiation Oncologists on goals, metrics, and new technology.
