Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to join our team supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Norfolk, Virginia. You will conduct RF/EME assessments and support RADHAZ surveys on DoD vessels and shore facilities, traveling to measurement sites worldwide as needed.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, plus the ability to travel up to 25% CONUS with occasional OCONUS assignments and the ability to obtain a Secret

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Physics.
  • Experience or capability to conduct RF measurements.
  • Travel up to 25% CONUS with occasional OCONUS travel.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (Interim Secret to start).
  • Recent graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct EME and RF assessments of DoD surface vessels, submarines, and shore facilities for hazards to ordnance, personnel, and fuel.
  • Travel worldwide to measure EMEs, analyze data, and develop technical reports for Fleet personnel.
  • Conduct RADHAZ desktop analysis.
  • Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation.
