Job summary

Amentum in Dahlgren, VA seeks a Junior RF Engineering Technician to perform E3 testing and certification on DoD and non-DoD systems, ensuring compliance with electromagnetic environment specifications. Travel up to 10% and on-the-job mentoring will support your growth.

You will operate specialized equipment such as network/spectrum analyzers and TDRs, contribute to test events with customers, and maintain safety, reliability, and performance in operational environments.

Qualifications

• One year of general experience in electronics, physics, or testing RF systems.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Government Clearance. US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• On-the-job mentoring is provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain specialized equipment to perform E3 testing and certification on complex weapon and electronic systems.
• Assess system compliance with E3 design specifications to ensure safety, reliability, and performance in operational electromagnetic environments.
• Support a wide variety of test events, both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with direct communication and coordination with customers.
• Travel to various locations (up to 10% of time) to support off-site E3 testing as needed.
