Job summary

RTX’s production environment in Andover requires skilled test engineers to support radar system testing, fault diagnosis, and data analysis. You will interpret schematics, operate RF test equipment, and work with union technicians to resolve issues on the shop floor.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on electronics experience, familiarity with RF test gear, and a STEM degree. This onsite role may include overtime and will involve close collaboration with operations, quality, and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• 1 year of integration and/or test experience.
• Experience in aerospace or defense testing environments.
• Demonstrated hands-on electronics aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide test engineering support in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment.
• Troubleshoot complex radar and array level issues on the production floor.
• Work from schematics and drawings to interpret RF faults and troubleshoot utilizing common test equipment such as Network Analyzer’s, Oscilloscopes, Power Meter’s and Spectrum Analyzer’s.
• Perform root cause analysis on systemic radar issues and flow back to feeder areas and/or suppliers to help in the troubleshooting of failed subassemblies.
• Work diligently with union technicians on a daily basis throughout the test process.
• Interacts daily with operations, quality, process/mechanical, and production control (PC) regarding most urgent immediate needs in test.
• Review system level test data for compliance toward specifications.
• Interact with maintenance/test department to keep test stations fully functional.
• Develop/update factory test procedures as needed.
• Overtime (paid) may be required on an as needed basis.
