Job summary

RTX, headquartered in Arlington, VA, is seeking candidates to join the Radar System Special Test Equipment group. The role focuses on creating requirements, designing and integrating test equipment for Raytheon Radar systems, and performing qualification and validation tasks.

U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Security Clearance Type: DoD Clearance: Secret. Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Join the Radar System Special Test Equipment group within the Raytheon Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities center where you will be expected to create requirements, design, integrate and sell-off test equipment used for development and production of the Raytheon Radar systems. Write Requirements for Test Equipment Design custom test equipment and avionics simulation equipment Checkout Panels and Cables Integration, test and sell-off of Special Test Equipment (STE) with Radar Hardware Assist with the Qualification and development testing of the Radar Systems Travel is required 5-25% of the time, both domestically and International.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date.
  • Experience in Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering.
  • Experience using computer aided design (CAD) software such as Creo, OrCAD or equivalent.
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Programming experience in Python and MATLAB.
  • Experience in digital signal processing, real-time embedded software and Field Programmable Gate Array development.
  • Prior internship, co-op, or work experience.
Additional Requirements

U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security Clearance Type: DoD Clearance: Secret. Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
