Job summary

Eikon Research Inc. seeks a Radar Software Engineer to join in Huntsville, AL or remote with periodic on-site work. The role focuses on radar software design, development, and optimization for ground-based systems, translating requirements into robust C++ implementations.

The ideal candidate will have strong C++ fundamentals, Linux experience, and familiarity with embedded systems, hardware testing, and Agile practices. US citizenship and DoD clearance readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering-related field or 5+ years additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Candidate must be US Citizen.
• Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• 5+ years experience with C++11 or later, CMake, GCC for ARM and x86-64 targets.
• Practical Linux usage.
• Version Control Experience (Git, GitLab).
• Ability to work in-office when performing hardware integration and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop software implementations of radar algorithms, from low-level signal processing to high-level tracking.
• Interface with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGAs; create tools for testing firmware.
• Develop unit and integration tests and documentation.
• Develop features using distributed message frameworks and improve radar UI interactions.
• Write in-code documentation and product documentation presentations.
• Contribute to Agile processes including daily standups and sprint planning.
