Eikon Research Inc. is seeking a Radar Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL, or remote with periodic on‑site work.

You will design, develop, and improve software for our ground‑based radar systems, translating requirements into clear, well‑documented code using C++ and Linux in a collaborative, Agile environment. The role requires a solid grasp of C++ fundamentals, computer networking, and parallel processing, with hands‑on work across embedded systems, MCUs, FPGAs, and testing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or engineering‑related field or 5+ years additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• 5+ years experience with C++11+, CMake, and GCC for ARM and x86‑64 targets.
• Practical Linux usage; Version control experience (Git, GitLab).
• Ability to work in‑office for hardware integration/testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop software implementations of radar algorithms from low‑level processing to high‑level tracking.
• Interface with embedded systems, MCUs, and FPGAs; develop test utilities.
• Create unit and integration tests for existing and new codebases.
• Add functionalities using distributed message frameworks and UI interactions.
• Produce in‑code and presentation documentation for product use.
• Improve performance of existing code and participate in Agile practices.
• Use Git, GitLab, Jira, and Doxygen for code management and planning.
• Assist on other Eikon projects as needed, including other languages.
