Job summary

Eikon Research Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Radar Firmware Engineer to translate designs/requirements into clear, well-documented code for radar systems. This role focuses on developing, integrating, and testing firmware, with emphasis on DSP algorithms and FPGA integration.

The candidate will work in a hybrid environment, participate in Agile practices, and use Git, GitLab, and Jira for code management and planning. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering-related field
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
• 5+ years' experience with Xilinx Vivado
• Practical Linux usage
• SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL
• Circuit analysis and FPGA integration
• Version Control Experience (Git/GitLab)
• Ability to work in-office when performing hardware integration and testing in Huntsville, AL is required
• Ability to work in both a group and individual capacity

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test radar firmware to support radar systems
• Development of/improvements to radar DSP algorithms
• Integration with hardware peripherals
• Integration with computing systems/subsystems
• Develop small software utilities for embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGAs
• Develop unit and integration tests for new and existing codebases
• Develop detailed documentation for functional handoff
• Participate in Agile development practices including daily standups and sprint planning/reviews
• Utilize Git, GitLab, and Jira for code management, issue tracking, Agile planning, and documentation
