Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Radar Signal Processing Engineer with data fusion and target tracking expertise for the Sensing and Processing Subdivision within MPD. This role focuses on radar moving target indication, system modeling, MTI/SIGINT/EO tracking, and innovative signal processing solutions for defense, civil, and commercial programs.

Eight+ years of experience and an advanced degree are required. Telework options are discussed, with on-site work at our El Segundo, CA facility.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years related experience, including relevant post graduate studies.
• Master’s or Ph.D. degree from an accredited college/university program in mathematics, physics or electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with two or more of the following problems in languages IDL, C/C++, and Python
• Ability to travel domestically occasionally
• Experience with radar detection data fusion, and live emitters and covariance analysis
• Familiarity with various tracking algorithms including radar-based tracking with an emphasis on AMTI
• Demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational need
• Interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations
• Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI access

Responsibilities

• Providing expertise in radar moving target indication and MTI/SIGINT/EO target tracking.
• Developing unique solutions and efficient implementations of signal processing algorithms and data fusion for mission applications.
• Evaluate maritime surveillance, and electronic warfare applications.
• Model and evaluate radar imaging, detection and data fusion tracking applications for ground and space-based radar support.
• Integrate large, multi-phase, multi-disciplinary projects.
