Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Radar Signal Processing Engineer to advance sensor and signal robustness for EW programs in Arlington, VA or San Diego, CA. You will develop, test, and optimize radar algorithms using MATLAB, Simulink, and C++, while analyzing both simulated and real data to derive insights.

The role emphasizes collaboration with scientists, potential task leadership, and opportunities to contribute to field testing and business development while maintaining strong communication across teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or math-related field.
• 4+ years’ experience in radar signal processing.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Linux, Mathematica, Python, Simulink; C/C++, Java, etc.
• Strong oral and written communication; team and independent work ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, model, and test algorithms in MATLAB, Simulink, or C++.
• Analyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trends.
• Develop novel and advanced algorithms, performance simulation, and analysis using time-series and spectral data.
• Participate in lab-based and field testing.
• Support marketing and business development initiatives.
• Engage in multiple projects, interacting with customers.
