Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, MD invites motivated students to join as interns focused on algorithms, software, and RF systems for national security challenges. Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to understand challenging technical problems and develop practical approaches.
  • Develop and evaluate algorithms, software, models, analyses, experiments, or prototypes.
  • Use simulated, laboratory, and real-world data to understand system behavior and evaluate approaches.
  • Learn from engineers, scientists, mathematicians, and software developers across disciplines.
  • Communicate your work through code, documentation, technical discussions, presentations, and reports.
