Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking motivated students for a technical internship in Maryland. You will join engineers, scientists, and software developers to work on algorithms, software, and RF systems related to national security challenges, with hands-on projects and real-world testing.

You will learn from experienced staff, contribute to ongoing research, and develop practical capabilities in areas like radar, signal processing, and modeling.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Maintain a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills and teamwork.
• Willing to work in closed-area facilities and obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work with multidisciplinary teams to understand technical problems and develop practical approaches.
• Develop and evaluate algorithms, software, models, analyses, experiments, or prototypes.
• Use data to understand system behavior and evaluate approaches.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, mathematicians, and software developers.
• Communicate work through code, documentation, discussions, and reports.
