Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a R&D S&E, Microwave & Sensor Engineer to support radar system development from concept to implementation. You will analyze and design radar subsystems, develop operation concepts, and lead or participate in program reviews while ensuring delivery within schedule and budget.

The role requires on-site work, potential travel, and the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance with SCI access. Experience in RF, DSP, and MATLAB/C/C++ is desirable.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and engineering or scientific experience that demonstrates perform independent research and development.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance and possibly to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance, which may require a polygraph test

• Strong foundation in radar fundamentals and digital signal processing (DSP). Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following:

• RF scattering phenomenology
• Programming experience in MATLAB and/or similar numerical computing environments; proficiency in one or more general-purpose languages (e.g., C/C++, P
• Experience using RF/microwave test equipment and measurement techniques (e.g., VNA/network analysis, spectrum analysis, noise figure/noise characterization, power measurements.
