Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Senior/Principal R&D Microwave & Sensor Engineer in the Radar ISR EM and Sensor Technologies area, onsite at Sandia's New Mexico site. You will lead antenna, RCS, and RF design efforts across ND and interagency radar initiatives.

The role requires strong electromagnetics background, experience with EM analysis, antenna structures, RF/microwave circuits, and proficiency with HFSS, ADS, CST and MATLAB/Python/C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance
• Graduate degree preferred with independent research project

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and develop radar systems, subsystems, and modules
• Conduct basic and applied research in applied EM
• Design and develop passive and active antenna structures
• Analyze RF/microwave circuits and modules
• Perform EM analysis, simulations, and testing
• Mentor and lead teams of engineers and technologists
