Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an R&D S&E Microwave & Sensor Engineer to design microwave PWBs and assemblies for transmitters and receivers. You will work with radar engineering and production teams to ensure robust designs and oversee testing protocols for RF hardware.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a relevant field and the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance; a graduate EE degree is highly desirable. On-site work in Albuquerque, NM with relocation support offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering/science with ability to perform independent R&D.
• Ability to attain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.
• Graduate degree in EE or related field strengthens candidacy.

Responsibilities

• Design microwave PWBs and assemblies for transmitters/receivers, including feedback on lower-level designs.
• Collaborate with radar engineering teams and production to ensure designs meet requirements and resolve issues.
• Conduct RF transmitter/receiver testing and develop test requirements and acceptance protocols.
• Provide technical leadership, present at design reviews, and develop design documentation.
