Job summary

P17 Solutions is seeking a Mid- to Senior-Level Radar and Combat Systems Engineer to support mission-critical activities at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in Dahlgren, Virginia. The role requires expertise with AN/SPY radar family, Mk 99 Fire Control System, radar signal processing, and Aegis integration to support analysis, modeling, testing, and performance evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience; senior candidates 10+ years.
• Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain/maintain clearance.
• Experience in radar systems, Aegis Weapon System, naval fire-control, or missile-defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze AN/SPY radar performance: detection, tracking, discrimination, resource management, and engagement support.
• Evaluate radar and fire-control system performance for engagement scenarios.
• Develop models, simulations, or analytical tools to assess system behavior.
• Prepare technical reports, briefings, and recommendations for government stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Navy engineers, warfare-center personnel, and industry partners.
• Provide technical mentorship and contribute to capability growth.
