Eligible up to $5,000 Sign-on Bonus for a Rad Tech

Location: BHMG - Urgent Care Nicholasville

Position Overview:

The Medical Assistant/Radiologic Technologist (MA/RT) assists staff and physicians by collecting pertinent patient information to determine physical and psychological needs, addressing and identifying health problems. Performs radiographic exams with general equipment. Functions as a member of the healthcare team with responsibilities based on training and demonstrated competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicates with patients to assess changes in health status since the last visit, including medications, and records information in EMR.
• Performs all required radiographic exams.
• Maintains efficient patient flow through exam and treatment areas.
• Assists physicians, ARNPs, and nurses with patient care, exams, tests, and procedures.
• Accurately obtains and records vital signs, reporting abnormal readings.
• Performs clerical duties such as assembling patient education materials, assisting with nutrition and toileting, scheduling, and obtaining insurance authorizations for medications.

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience:

• Basic Medical Assistant training or experience.
• Rad Tech license or LMR.
• BLS certification required.
• Active AART and KBMIRT certifications.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.
