Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Rack Integration Operations Engineer to act as a quality gatekeeper across hardware build programs, bridging engineering specs with external contract manufacturers. You will ensure BOM accuracy, optimize materials planning, track partner performance, and build light AI-enabled automations to streamline workflows across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience managing hardware vendor or contract manufacturing relationships with BOM validation.
• Ability to evaluate rack-level specifications (power, networking, server, firmware) for manufacturing compliance.
• Proven Jira workflow management with KPIs and SLAs.
• Applied AI/automation skills to optimize reporting or data analysis.
• Strong cross-functional communication across engineering, procurement, supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Ensure BOM accuracy by reviewing complex BOMs and identifying substitutions and mismatches.
• Bridge engineering and production by addressing design changes and BOM issues.
• Maintain technical quality standards for rack-level hardware and firmware.
• Support materials planning and align supplier capacity with lead times.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics for components and finished racks.
• Drive partner execution and monitor build progress and issue resolution.
• Track SLAs and quality metrics; contribute to vendor scorecards.
• Maintain program visibility with Jira updates and cross-functional reviews.
• Automate repetitive workflows using AI tools and lightweight scripts.
• Analyze spend, timelines, and quality trends to surface actionable insights.
• Build shared tooling for broader team adoption.
